Please accept this reference letter on behalf of Mr. Doug Wickham.
Over the past several years, I have had the distinct pleasure and opportunity to work with Doug on numerous events and occasions at Northlands. He is always very accommodating, presents himself in a professional manner and handles himself confidently and creates an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere for the audiences that he announces to at various shows and events. Doug takes the time to learn everything about whom or what he is announcing to help inform and entertain his audience.
Doug has announced the Focus on 4-H horse show in July for the past ten years. He is very interested in the youth program and handles the audience and young members very well. I have also had the pleasure of having Doug announce the Draft Horse pull at our local competition at Stony Plain each year during Farmer’s Day. He is able to get the audience involved in the event and has done an excellent job for our community event.
He has announced at the Draft Horse pulls, stock dog and beef competitions for several years at our fall show during Farmfair International which is one of our largest livestock shows in western Canada.
Mr. Wickham has been a volunteer at Northlands for the past eighteen years and a shareholder since 2004. He received his fifteen year service pin and the Northlands Volunteer Award of Merit, this award recognizes an individual providing meritorious volunteer service.
Doug Wickham is definitely an asset to Northlands, and I would highly recommend him has an announcer for any show or event.

Doug has been with the Rocky Mountain House Pro Rodeo for the past two years co-announcing our
Event and we are looking forward to having him back again this year in 2010.
Doug is very professional, adds color, humor, and does an exceptional job of promoting our sponsors.

Doug announced our rodeo last year and we have invited him back to announce this year's 2010 Rodeo along with the WPBR (World Professional Bull Riding) Event taking place in April, 2010.
I find Doug to be a very professional announcer. He is very entertaining and up to date with the stats on all the cowboys and cowgirls. His interaction with the audience is very upbeat. He has an ability to get the audience involved and keeps them well informed about all the events.
I would highly recommend Doug to announce your upcoming rodeo.
